As an extension to the “Love, Smith” brand strategy, I was asked to rebrand the current retail and market spaces inside Smith Memorial Student Union. The problem was that these two stores actually operate under the same umbrella, and they lack any solid branding. They also are two of the only retail spaces on campus whose funds go back entirely to the university. The solution? A new brand that unites the two retail stores and conveys a feeling of being a University operated establishment, and communicates a familiar and friendly tone.
