In 2022, KOIN and the Portland State Foundation teamed up to create an hour-long broadcast for the Day of Giving and to create a show that would spark hope and excitement around downtown Portland. I was tasked with creating a visual identity for the event and creating a visual system to be used in a variety of formats from print/digital ads, and graphics to be used during the showcase itself. We wanted something that felt true to Portland State visually, which resulted in the hand-drawn look of everything. I decided to illustrate iconic features of Portland as well as PSU itself to create a visual identity that would be familiar to students and alumni, but also fun and fresh to anyone who isn't familiar with PSU.
